Why We Verify Your Identity

At Millioner, maintaining a secure and trustworthy environment for all our players is paramount. Identity verification is a fundamental part of this commitment. By confirming your identity, we can prevent fraud, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and ensure that our platform remains fair and safe for everyone. This process protects your account from unauthorized access and helps us uphold the integrity of our gaming services.

What KYC (Know Your Customer) Means

KYC, or "Know Your Customer," is a mandatory process for financial institutions and online gambling operators like Millioner. It involves collecting and verifying personal information from our customers. The primary goal of KYC is to combat financial crime, such as money laundering and terrorist financing, by ensuring we know who our players are. It also helps us identify and prevent underage gambling, promoting responsible gaming practices across our platform.

When Verification Is Required

Verification is an ongoing process that may be triggered at various stages of your Millioner experience. You will typically be asked to complete initial verification upon registration or before your first withdrawal. Further verification may be required if:

  • Your cumulative deposits or withdrawals reach certain thresholds.
  • There are changes to your personal information.
  • Our fraud detection systems flag unusual activity on your account.
  • You attempt to withdraw a significant amount of funds.
  • There are specific requests from our licensing authority.

We reserve the right to request verification at any time we deem necessary to comply with legal obligations or to maintain the security of our platform.

Documents You May Be Asked to Provide

To complete the verification process, you may be asked to provide several types of documents. These typically fall into categories such as proof of identity, proof of address, and proof of payment method. All documents must be clear, legible, and current. We will provide secure methods for you to upload these documents directly through your Millioner account.

Proof of Identity

To confirm your identity, we generally require a copy of one of the following government-issued identification documents:

  • Passport: A full, clear copy of the photo page.
  • National ID Card: Both the front and back of the card.
  • Driver's License: Both the front and back of the license.

The document must be valid, not expired, and show your full name, date of birth, photograph, and signature. Ensure all four corners of the document are visible in the image.

Proof of Address

To verify your residential address, we require a document issued within the last three months that clearly displays your full name and current residential address. Acceptable documents include:

  • Utility Bill: (e.g., electricity, water, gas, internet, landline phone bill). Mobile phone bills are not usually accepted.
  • Bank Statement: A statement from a recognized financial institution.
  • Government-Issued Correspondence: (e.g., tax bill, council tax statement).

The document must be dated and show the issuing authority's logo or name. We cannot accept screenshots of online statements, a PDF or a photograph of the physical document is required.

Payment Method Verification

To ensure the payment methods used on your Millioner account belong to you, we may request verification of these methods. The specific documents required depend on the payment method used:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: A copy of the front and back of the card. For security, please obscure the middle eight digits of the card number on the front and the CVV/CVC code on the back. Your name, the first six, and last four digits of the card number, and the expiry date must be visible.
  • E-Wallets (e.g., Skrill, Neteller, PayPal): A screenshot of your e-wallet account page showing your name, email address, and the account ID.
  • Bank Transfers: A copy of a bank statement showing your name, account number, and the bank's logo.

This verification step is crucial for preventing unauthorized transactions and protecting your financial security.

Source of Funds and Enhanced Due Diligence

In certain circumstances, particularly for large transactions or when regulatory requirements dictate, Millioner may be required to request information regarding your Source of Funds (SOF) or Source of Wealth (SOW). This is part of our Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures. This may involve providing documents that demonstrate how you acquired the funds used for gambling. Examples of such documents could include:

  • Pay slips or employment contracts.
  • Bank statements showing regular income.
  • Proof of inheritance or property sale.
  • Business ownership documents.

We understand that such requests are sensitive, and we handle all provided information with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with data protection laws.

The Verification Process and Timeframes

Once you submit your documents, our dedicated verification team will review them. We aim to process all verification requests as quickly as possible, typically within 24 to 48 hours. During peak times, or if additional information is required, this timeframe may be extended. You will be notified via email or through your Millioner account once your documents have been reviewed and your verification status updated. If any documents are unclear or incomplete, we will contact you to request resubmission.

Keeping Your Documents Safe

At Millioner, we employ robust security measures to protect your personal information and uploaded documents. All data is encrypted and stored securely in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR. Access to your documents is strictly limited to authorized personnel involved in the verification process. We will never share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Anti-Money Laundering Compliance

Millioner operates under strict anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. Our KYC and verification procedures are designed to detect and prevent activities associated with money laundering and terrorist financing. We work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and industry best practices. Any suspicious activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities, as required by law.

Age Verification and Protecting Minors

Gambling is strictly prohibited for individuals under the legal age of 18 (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). Age verification is a critical component of our KYC process. By verifying your age, Millioner ensures that minors are prevented from accessing our platform. We are committed to protecting vulnerable individuals and promoting responsible gambling. Any accounts found to belong to minors will be immediately closed, and any winnings forfeited.

If Verification Is Delayed or Unsuccessful

If there is a delay in your verification, or if your submission is unsuccessful, we will communicate the reason to you. Common reasons for delays or unsuccessful verification include:

  • Documents being unclear, expired, or incomplete.
  • Information on documents not matching your registered account details.
  • Failure to provide all requested documents within a reasonable timeframe.

If your verification is unsuccessful, your account may be subject to restrictions, including the inability to deposit, play, or withdraw funds, until the issues are resolved. We will guide you through the necessary steps to rectify any problems.
